The schedule for the reigning NCAA champion Wisconsin Volleyball team to defend their title in 2022 has been released. The Badgers have 28 matches on the schedule, starting with a trip to TCU to take on the Horned Frogs on August 27th. That's followed by a trip to Baylor the next day.
“The new season is right around the corner and we are certainly looking forward to getting started,” head coach Kelly Sheffield said. “TCU and Baylor on the road is a tremendous challenge and opportunity right out of the gate, and then to go down to play a great Kentucky team for our second trip is going to be another battle.
The first home game for Wisconsin is on September 2nd against in-state rival Marquette in the Wisconsin Invitational.
For the first time since the 1998 season, UW hosts a match in the Kohl Center when Florida comes to town on Sept. 16. Wisconsin is looking to break the regular-season attendance record of 14,022 set on Sept. 6, 2018, when Creighton faced Nebraska at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Big Ten Schedule starts with Northwestern at home on September 23rd. Other notable home matches include contests vs. Penn State, Nebraska and Minnesota.
Wisconsin will face 13 teams that were ranked in last year's final Top 25 poll, including Baylor, Kentucky, Florida, and Nebraska.
The final home game for the Badgers is November 12th against Maryland and the final regular season game is November 26th against Ohio State.
