Wisconsin's newest 2020 football schedule was released Saturday morning. The Badgers open the delayed season this fall on October 24 at Camp Randall Stadium against Illinois.
Following that is a Halloween road trip to take on Nebraska, October 31.
Wisconsin will return home to take on Purdue on November 7, then return to the road to take on Michigan on November 14.
Staying on the road, Wisconsin will play at Northwestern November 21.
The Battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe will occur on the weekend of Thanksgiving, with Minnesota visiting Camp Randall Stadium on November 28.
Wisconsin's 2020 football schedule looks like this:
October 24 - vs Illinois
October 31 - at Nebraska
November 7 - vs Purdue
November 14 - at Michigan
November 21 - at Northwestern
November 28 - vs Minnesota
December 5 - vs Indiana
December 12 - at Iowa
December 19 - against B1G East Opponent (not one faced during regular season) - will be based on standings - Championship could be a repeat but others (2-7) will attempt to avoid repeat match-ups
Times will be announced at a later date.
Originally, Wisconsin was to open the season against Indiana on the Friday before Labor Day. First, the Big Ten wiped out its non-conference schedules, then added a conference game and bye weeks to accommodate any COVID-related cancellations for a conference-only schedule. Six days later, the Big Ten suspended its fall football season to the spring, but earlier in the week, reversed that decision and will now play in the fall.
