Wisconsin wins fifth in a row, defeats Michigan 81-74

Wisconsin is sprinting to the finish in a balanced, deep Big Ten.

D'Mitrik Trice scored 28 points as Wisconsin won its fifth game in a row on Thursday night at the Crisler Center, 81-74 over #19 Michigan.

It was the Badgers' fifth win over a ranked opponent in 2019-2020, one shy of leading the nation. It was also the first time in a quarter-century that Wisconsin reached 80 points in back-to-back road games.

Both teams entered the contest on moderate winning streaks, and both teams shot the ball well, with Wisconsin hitting a season-best 53.7% of its shots (including 47.8% from the arc) to Michigan's 51.7%.

Wisconsin is now in a four-way tie for second place in the Big Ten with Michigan State, Penn State, and Illinois with only three games to play in the regular season. Next up, the Badgers play host to Minnesota and Northwestern on Sunday and Wednesday respectively before wrapping up the regular season playing at Indiana a week from Saturday.
