After leading by six at halftime, the Wisconsin Badgers went cold from the floor in the second half, as Illinois snapped a 15-game losing streak to the Badgers with a 71-70 win in Madison on Wednesday night.
Illinois shot over 60% from the field during their second-half rally, holding off a last-second shot attempt by Wisconsin to try to win the game.
The win not only ends the Badgers' 15-game winning streak against Illinois, but a four-game winning streak this season entering the game.
Kobe King led Wisconsin with 21 points. Micah Potter added 13 off the bench for the Badgers, who fall to 9-6 on the season.
Wisconsin plays at Penn State on Saturday.
