Buoyed by Kobe King's career-high 24 points and a fast start that saw the Badgers take a 20-point halftime lead, Wisconsin defeated Indiana 84-64 in the Big Ten men's basketball opener on Saturday evening at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Nate Reuvers scored 20 and Aleem Ford added 13 for the Badgers, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Wisconsin had lost three in a row, all on the road, before Saturday. Wisconsin's only other loss came on a neutral site. The Badgers improve to 5-0 at the Kohl Center, but are 0-4 on the road or neutral sites.
On Wednesday, Wisconsin will visit Rutgers in another Big Ten contest before taking a break for finals. The Badgers will have three more regular-season non-conference games beginning December 21 against Milwaukee, with a road game at Tennessee to follow a week later and a home date with Rider before returning to Big Ten Conference play on January 3 at Ohio State.
