Cold shooting in the second half doomed Wisconsin in a 69-54 loss at NC State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Thursday night.
The Badgers shot just 5 of 23 from deep and 7 of 15 from the free throw line.
Three players for Wisconsin reached double figures in scoring, led by Aleem Ford with 13 points. Nate Reuvers and Kobe King each had 11 for the Badgers, who fell to 4-4 on the season.
Wisconsin will open up Big Ten play on Saturday against Indiana, then play Rutgers next Wednesday before breaking for finals week.
