Jonathan Taylor, Aron Cruickshank earn weekly Big Ten honors

Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor and kick returner Aron Cruickshank both earned weekly honors from the Big Ten for their play in Saturday's win over Nebraska.

Taylor carried the ball 25 times for 204 yards and two touchdowns in Wisconsin’s victory at Nebraska, becoming the first FBS player since at least 2000 to rush for 200 or more yards against a single opponent three times in his career. It's his eighth career Offensive Player of the Week award, tying Purdue’s Drew Brees for the fourth-most career Offensive Player of the Week honors. Taylor shared the award this week with Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson.

Cruickshank, meanwhile, got his first player of the week award thanks to an 89-yard kickoff return touchdown in the first quarter, the first return touchdown of his career and the first for the Badgers since Natrell Jamerson in 2015. He's one of just three Big Ten players to return a kickoff for a touchdown this season, joining Maryland's Javon Leake and Michigan's Giles Jackson.

Wisconsin plays Purdue at 3 p.m. this Saturday on the Badger Sports Network.
