Wisconsin's home opener is Saturday against Central Michigan. Badgers football coach Paul Chryst previews the game and discusses where things are at after one game played this season.
A season-opening win over USF last Friday showed that the Badgers' defense is in a good place, pitching a shutout and giving up only 157 yards. Some emerging players along the defensive line could help Wisconsin down the road this season, as the Badgers' patchwork defensive line from a year ago did all it could to withstand opponents and injuries.
Offensively, it's still Jonathan Taylor, but there were plenty of flashes from all positions to offer optimism moving forward.
