If 'it's what's best for him,' Paul Chryst and the Badgers would welcome back Quintez Cephus to the team. Chryst acknowledged there's several steps to get to that point.
Chryst made the comments to reporters following Wednesday's practice. Cephus was found not guilty on two charges of sexual assault in a week-long jury trial last week, but was expelled from the University. He has since applied for readmission.
Chryst added that the situation has been tough on everyone, but if Cephus genuinely wants to play again for Wisconsin, he'd be welcomed back. Chryst offered no timeline for a potential return.
Cephus caught 30 passes for 501 yards and six touchdowns in 2017 as a sophomore.
