The Athletic reported Thursday morning that Wisconsin and Pittsburgh have signed a home-and-home football agreement for the 2026-27 season.
Bruce Feldman tweeted the news of the arrangement.
Pittsburgh becomes the only known non-conference opponent for both the 2026 and 2027 seasons. The Badgers have their non-conference schedules filled through 2022, and have one game to fill from 2023 through 2025.
Some of the notable non-conference games in upcoming seasons include Southern Florida in 2019, Notre Dame in 2020 (Lambeau Field) and 2021 (Soldier Field), Washington State (2022-23), Virginia Tech (2024-25), and UCLA (2029-2030).
Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst was previously the head coach at Pittsburgh. Wisconsin has never defeated Pittsburgh in three meetings, the last one coming in 1967.
