For the 10th-straight season, Wisconsin volleyball will be heard on the Madison airwaves. The Badgers will once again team with iHeartMedia in Madison to air all 29 regular-season matches in 2017. Matches air in the Madison area on 100.9 FM or anywhere in the world online using the free iHeartRadio app.
"We are excited to bring back one of the best in the business, the Voice of the Badgers, Jon Arias for his 10th season," head coach Kelly Sheffield said. "Adding depth and insight to the broadcasts, we will also have Pete Waite as our color commentator for our home matches and Diane Nordstrom will join Jon on the mic for away matches.
"Jon, Pete, and Diane are a fantastic team and do a great job of bringing the action to the fans."
Experts with extensive volleyball knowledge, Waite is the former UW head coach and Nordstrom is UW's associate athletic communications director for volleyball.
New this season is a 15-minute pre-match show. All broadcasts will begin 15 minutes before first serve and feature interviews with UW assistant coaches Brittany Dildine and Gary White.
