One of the biggest stories of the college basketball season unfolded this week in Madison.
Andy Katz of the Big Ten Network, FS1, and NCAA.com says that unless there's something else going on that hasn't been revealed by the team or player, there's no justification for Kobe King's departure at this juncture of the Wisconsin Badgers season.
If there is something else going on, Katz tells The Mike Heller Show, then the situation is different. But Katz, quoting the stated reason for King's departure as 'not being the right fit,' says that without anything else coming out, that King should know whether or not it's the right fit based on his nearly three years of experience with the program. Leaving in the back half of the season isn't justified for that reason.
Katz adds that there's clearly something going on, but we may never find out what that is.
