Whether it's analytics, roster fit, coaching fit, or averting the significant injury risk Jabari Parker has, Bucks fans shouldn't be panicking that Parker is leaving the team for his hometown Chicago Bulls.
Ted Davis, voice of the Milwaukee Bucks, explains why there could be several reasons that the Bucks allowed Parker to walk. Analytically, the numbers show that the Bucks could be trying to get more value for less payroll than the $20 million it would have cost to keep Parker, citing the signings of Ersan Ilyasova and Brook Lopez. From a practical standpoint, perhaps it was good will on the part of the team for Parker and his agent, which could build future player-front office relationships for the franchise.
