Report: Packers to hire Jerry Gray as defensive backs coach

Green Bay's coaching staff made an addition on Tuesday.

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the Green Bay Packers will hire former Minnesota Vikings defensive backs coach Jerry Gray to the same role with the Packers.

Gray, who will turn 58 late in the regular season, spent the last six years with the Minnesota Vikings. Prior stops include as defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans from 2011-2013 and Buffalo Bills from 2001-2005.

Gray was a four-time Pro Bowl selection as a cornerback with the Rams from 1986 through 1989, recording 28 career interceptions in 134 games played during a nine-year NFL career.
