Questions about the Aaron Rodgers-Matt LaFleur relationship, the defense, and the health of the Packers moving forward dominated the national media airwaves on Friday. The new pass interference review rules were a heavy source of criticism as well.
The age-old Rodgers-coach dynamic continues with a new head coach this season, as the offense had its best performance by pure total yardage on Thursday night, but looked disjointed at times without any real run game, especially in the fourth quarter as the Packers failed to score on two goal-to-go situations and were just three of seven on red zone trips.
The defense was gashed by Jordan Howard on the ground, leading some national media to speculate that perhaps the defense isn't quite ready for prime time yet.
Davante Adams, Jamaal Williams, and others suffered injuries in the loss, and even with some extra time off between now and the Packers' next game, any missed time will affect the Packers as they play a few tough opponents in a row coming up.
