Packers trade for linebacker B.J. Goodson

Looking to address some depth issues at inside linebacker, the Green Bay Packers traded for linebacker B.J. Goodson from the New York Giants on Monday.

In three seasons in New York, Goodson played in 37 games, starting 20, racking up 116 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. With the emergence of former Wisconsin linebacker Ryan Connelly in camp, Goodson was reportedly on his way out.

Green Bay was down projected starter Oren Burks and the emerging Curtis Bolton at the position, prompting the move.
