A shortened field and a pile of injuries marred the third Packers preseason game, as Green Bay lost to the Oakland Raiders 22-21 on Thursday night in Winnipeg.
Equanimeous St. Brown, Curtis Bolton, and Rashan Gary all suffered injuries during the loss in the first half, robbing the Packers of two potential starters just two weeks out from their season opener against the Chicago Bears.
The field conditions were poor in the end zones, so the playing field was shortened to 80 yards to avoid divots in each end zone.
In terms of positives, Tim Boyle had a solid game, going 16-for-25 for 191 yards and touchdowns to Trevor Davis and Jake Kumerow, mostly in the first half, as he got the start. Davis had five catches for 78 yards, a rush for 18 yards, and a 17-yard punt return.
The Packers wrap up the preseason on Thursday night at Lambeau Field against the Kansas City Chiefs.
