ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports that Green Bay Packers linebacker Oren Burks has a torn pectoral muscle, an injury that typically requires six to nine months of recovery time after surgery.
Burks, who did not practice on Saturday, was injured during the Packers' preseason win over Houston on Thursday night.
In 14 games played (four starts) in 2018 as a rookie, Burks recorded 24 tackles.
Green Bay already has two open spots on its 90-player roster after releasing receiver Jawill Davis on Saturday.
No official announcement had been made by the team as of Saturday night.
