With a big year, Davante Adams might be in line for a pay raise

Davante Adams signed a deal after the 2017 season that made him the fourth-highest-paid receiver in the NFL. In just two offseasons, it's now the 11th-richest contract at the position. Another big season by Adams could put him in line for a lucrative contract extension.

Even with multiple seasons left on Adams' contract after 2019, David Michalski writes at Cheesehead TV that the Packers should move proactively in keeping Aaron Rodgers' top target happy and taken care of financially:

With the cap space the Packers currently have, and the money scheduled to come off the books, along with potential money that could be freed up, the team must be proactive and treat Davante like the all-pro receiver that he is and not even force him to have to ask for a new contract. If Davante Adams continues to perform like one of the league's best receivers, he should be paid as such, and be paid in a timely fashion so his contract does not become a distraction to the team.
