Jake Kumerow and Trevor Davis had good showings at the Packers' Family Night scrimmage on Friday night, a snapshot into what will be one of the most competitive training camp position battles in Green Bay.
The race to line up alongside Davante Adams is on, and Brandon Carwile of Cheesehead TV dove into the film to take a look at the receivers who helped themselves in action on Friday night.
- Jake Kumerow is healthy and he continues to see progress as his connection with Aaron Rodgers grows stronger by the day. He bounced back [from a finger injury] during team periods by making an impressive 37-yard catch against Jaire Alexander.
- Trevor Davis has also done some nice things at receiver this summer. He is known mostly for his return abilities but he has adapted well in the new offense. Davis appeared to fit well within the offense on Friday as he recorded four catches for 100 yards.
- Darrius Shepherd who has continued to impress throughout training camp. He hauled in a touchdown over Rouse during one on ones Friday. Shepherd, as well as second-year UDFA Teo Redding, are pressing J’Mon Moore for the last remaining spots at receiver.
