With the Packers' defense almost completely turned over in just two seasons, Jaire Alexander is suddenly one of the more prominent voices in the locker room, and is well on his way to developing as a leader of Green Bay's defensive unit.
Zachary Jacobson of Cheesehead TV writes that Alexander has set lofty goals for his second season (to become All-Pro), and that the most important voices in the Packers locker room all vouch for Alexander, from Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams all the way up to coach Matt LaFleur, who believes Alexander is on his way to becoming a star. It also helps that Alexander works against Adams every day:
As the team's starting cornerback who will see a majority of his regular-season snaps lined up against the oppositions' No. 1 receiver, it's pivotal that he's able to fend off injury in 2019 and remain as an available asset for defensive coordinator Mike Pettine. There's no question about his talent. Being able to pick Adams' brain before and after each and every practice can only bode well in Alexander's favor.
