One of the Green Bay Packers' two first-round draft picks in April's NFL Draft, Rashan Gary's athleticism has been on full display in training camp. Fans and media in attendance have taken notice.
Zachary Jacobson, who writes at Cheesehead TV that Gary provided the 'understatement of the year' when Gary declared himself an athlete, posted that Gary has been impressive in the early going:
Through four training camp practices, Gary has impressed with his speed and quick twitch off the line. He's won a majority of his one-on-one battles and flashed as someone whose motor will help drive him past the point of proving his critics wrong.
In addition to being an elite athlete, Gary also has the ability to line up just about anywhere:
Despite being projected as an outside linebacker in the Packers' defense, opportunity opened for Gary when the Packers released veteran defensive lineman Mike Daniels last week. One of Gary's premier traits at Michigan was his aptness in playing multiple positions -- something he could certainly end up doing for Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine.
