Jake Kumerow a highlight of training camp again in 2019

Much like 2018, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jake Kumerow is having a solid training camp so far, and that bodes well for his chances to make the opening-week roster for the team in 2019.

The UW-Whitewater product has made a few highlights in the early stages of this year's camp, and based on his work last year, is on his way to finding a spot on a roster. Zachary Jacobson of Cheesehead TV writes that Kumerow's received high praise from both the new head coach, Matt LaFleuer, and the quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, and that gives him an edge in terms of making the team:

The Packers have a crowded position group at wide receiver, and Kumerow hasn't provided an impact in any other facet outside of playing on offense. Typically, bottom-of-the-barrel players on the roster bubble would need to provide some kind of spark on special teams, whether as a return man or as a gunner on coverage. But in Kumerow's case, when his opportunities come knocking -- they've been banging. Loudly enough for him to potentially solidify a roster spot without even playing a snap in the latter two areas.
