Montravius Adams has the opportunity to take on a big role

With Mike Daniels' departure, former third-round pick Montravius Adams has a huge opportunity to take on a big role with the Green Bay Packers' defense.

Cory Jennerjohn of Cheesehead TV chronicles the underwhelming first two professional seasons for Adams, but also writes that it's a chance for Adams to become a big part of what defensive coordinator Mike Pettine is trying to do:

It makes sense why Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine likes Adams. At Auburn, he played on the interior of the line as well as the outside and was effective at stopping the run and the pass... The new regime trusts what he brings to the table and they are also gambling that he will stay healthy for the entire season. Adams now has the most pressure on his shoulders of any defensive player.
