Boasting 4.36 speed in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, new Packers safety Darnell Savage is fast, plays well in coverage, and has a nose for the ball.
Savage recorded two pick-sixes in college on eight career interceptions, and played in 40 career games at Maryland. Savage also returned a punt for a touchdown his junior year, although it was his only career return. Savage was a running back in high school.
Since the NFL Combine, Savage has seen his stock rise. A projected day-two pick is now a first-round selection, and in a trade-up to boot.
