ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports that the Packers will be signing Washington edge rusher Preston Smith when free agency opens on Wednesday. Green Bay already reportedly will sign Ravens edge rusher Za'Darius Smith and Bears safety Adrain Amos.
Demovsky made the report Tuesday morning.
Smith played in all 64 regular-season games across four seasons for Washington, including 50 starts and one playoff appearance. Smith racked up 24.5 sacks in four years, as well as four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, four interceptions, and 13 pass break-ups.
The Packers also reportedly are set to sign former Ravens edge rusher Za'Darius Smith, giving the Packers a pair of top pass-rushers essential to boosting an area of need this offseason.
Smith was a second-round pick of Washington in 2015.
