NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says that the Packers will be signing Bears safety Adrian Amos when free agency opens on Wednesday.
Rapoport made the report Tuesday morning.
Amos played in 60 regular-season games and one playoff game over four seasons with Chicago, including 57 total starts. He's recorded 13 tackles for a loss, three interceptions, and 269 combined tackles in his career so far. He also had an interception in Chicago's playoff loss this season.
After dealing Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to Washington last year, the Packers went safety-by-committee for the back half of the 2018 season, making the position a priority in free agency and the NFL Draft.
Amos was a fourth-round pick in 2015. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Green Bay also reportedly signed Ravens edge rusher Za'Darius Smith.
