Two four-win teams squared off on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field, and it was the Green Bay Packers who came out on top with a 34-20 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
Atlanta scored on their opening drive, as the Packers used two challenges in the first three plays, both of which failed for Green Bay. From there, though, the Packers rolled up 34 points before Atlanta put up 13 points in the final frame to close the final scoring gap.
Aaron Rodgers threw touchdowns to Davante Adams and Randall Cobb, and Aaron Jones ran for a score as well in the victory. Bashaud Breeland had a pick-six to put Green Bay up 17-7 early in the contest.
Matt Ryan threw three touchdowns, two to Julio Jones, in the loss for the Falcons.
The Packers have a thread of playoff hope remaining, which includes winning out, but every other thing that had to happen Sunday for the Packers happened, boosting their odds ever so slightly.
Next up is a road game at division-leading Chicago for the Packers, before finishing the year at the hapless New York Jets and then a home game to close out 2018 against Detroit.
