LeRoy Butler spent 12 years in Green Bay, his only stop as a professional, and for the second time, has been named a semifinalist for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
Butler, the first defensive back to record 20 interceptions and 20 sacks, finished his career with 38 interceptions, 13 forced fumbles, and 10 fumble recoveries. After playing in 181 games in his NFL career, including four nods as First Team All-Pro and 181 games played, Butler was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2007.
None of the other 25 modern-era semifinalists for the Hall of Fame have ties to the Packers.
The 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame class will be voted upon Saturday, February 2. Last year, former Packers great Jerry Kramer was inducted after decades of campaigning, finally making it in as the Senior Finalist.
