Packers trade Clinton-Dix, Montgomery at NFL Trade Deadline

The Green Bay Packers traded S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to the Washington Redskins for an undisclosed draft pick and RB Ty Montgomery to the Baltimore Ravens for an undisclosed draft pick, signed TE Ethan Wolf to the practice squad and released FB Joe Kerridge from the practice squad. The transactions were announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

Wolf, a 6-foot-6, 252-pound rookie, was originally signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Tennessee on May 11 and was released on Sept. 1. He appeared in 50 games with 47 starts over four seasons at UT, recording 91 receptions for 998 yards (11.0 avg.) and seven touchdowns. Wolf finished his career ranked No. 2 all-time in program history for receptions by a tight end and No. 3 for receiving yards by a tight end. He will wear No. 86 for the Packers.

Clinton-Dix (6-1, 208) was originally a first-round pick (No. 21 overall) of the Packers in the 2014 NFL Draft out of the University of Alabama. He played in 71 regular-season games with 65 starts for Green Bay, recording 419 tackles (337 solo), 5.5 sacks, 14 interceptions and 38 passes defensed.

Montgomery (6-0, 216) played in 36 regular-season games with 14 starts for Green Bay since being selected by the Packers in the third round (No. 94 overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Stanford. He registered 849 rushing yards on 177 attempts (4.8 avg.) with seven touchdowns and hauled in 97 passes for 827 yards (8.5 avg.) and three TDs. As a returner, Montgomery averaged 22.7 yards on 35 kickoffs.
