While the Packers rallied and the defense played well in spots, Green Bay's coach, Mike McCarthy, is looking to make significant improvements, particularly in starting the game well and avoiding turnovers, heading into Monday nights' game against the San Francisco 49ers.
In terms of penalties and turnovers, McCarthy says that they haven't done up-downs yet, but that since the players and coaches spend a lot of time together, they're able to use those instances as teaching moments during the week.
McCarthy also has high praise for the young players on the roster, particularly at receiver, stepping up as several veteran offensive players have been dealing with injuries in the first five games of the season.
