ESPN reported Wednesday morning that quarterback Brett Hundley had been traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Seattle Seahawks.
The move solidifies backup quarterback plans for both the Seahawks and the Packers. Hundley will now be the backup to Russell Wilson in Seattle, while DeShone Kizer, who the Packers acquired via trade this offseason with the Cleveland Browns, should be the backup to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.
Ian Rapoport reported that the Packers will receive a 6th-round pick from the Seahawks in the deal.
Hundley infamously struggled at times with the Packers filling in for the injured Aaron Rodgers in 2017. Green Bay ended up missing the playoffs.
