A perfect storm of circumstances led the Minnesota Vikings to a top finish in the NFC North in 2017. With Aaron Rodgers back and the schedule set to be more difficult for teams in the division, it would seem that the Packers could be on the way back up, with the Vikings due for a fall.
Minnesota's top acquisition this offseason was Kirk Cousins, who should provide a slight upgrade to Case Keenum (and others) at quarterback. With the defense intact and no other major pieces leaving, it would seem the Vikings should hold the line for another season. However, with a more difficult schedule, and the Packers, if Aaron Rodgers stays healthy, prime for a better finish than last year, it opens the door for Green Bay to contend for the divisional crown.
