After drafting a punter in the NFL Draft, the Packers have already decided to move forward with the new guy.
Justin Vogel, an undrafted rookie free agent a season ago, was waived after the Packers drafted Alabama rookie J.K. Scott in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Vogel set the franchise record last season as a rookie for net punt average (41.6 yards) and played in all 16 games for Green Bay. He was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Miami last summer. For his work in 2017, Vogel was named as an alternate to the 2018 Pro Bowl.
Scott, who was drafted in the fifth round on the 2018 NFL Draft, is the only punter on the Packers' roster.
