The Madison Mallards (20-9) fell to the Green Bay Booyah in the nightcap of their doubleheader in walk-off fashion on Tuesday night. Mike Ferri (UW-Milwaukee) bounced a walk-off single up the middle with the bases loaded in the ninth to give the Booyah a 9-8 win. The two teams split their Tuesday doubleheader.
Green Bay loaded the bases with one out in the ninth before Ferri poked the game-winning through the infield.
Jaret Godman (Oklahoma) earned the win for Green Bay as he was the last pitcher to throw before the walk-off hit. Madison’s Theo Denlinger (Bradley) allowed the hit to Ferri and was given the loss.
The Mallards and Booyah finish their three-game series Wednesday at Warner Park in Madison. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. The game will feature an appearance from Green Bay Packer Hall of Famer Jerry Kramer.
