The release of return-to-play information for summer contact days, which can begin July 1 for school districts that can allow them, was sent to schools Thursday morning.
In the guidelines, contact between student-athletes is extremely limited, including how many can gather in one space or weight room; equipment can't be shared among the group; and, social distancing guidelines must be met, at a minimum to NFHS guidelines but with local health regulations factored in as well.
The release does not offer guidance on fall sports. No new information has been made available; however, the WIAA Board of Control meets on Wednesday, June 24, and it's expected sport-specific guidance will be issued before July 1.
