HSBB: Brackets released for WIAA Tournament

In Division 1, Sectional 3, the local grouping includes La Follette, East, and Memorial as the top three seeds, all Madison city schools. Sun Prairie, Waunakee, and Oconomowoc are seeded fourth through sixth.

Division 2, Sectional 2 has just one local team: Beaver Dam. They are the #8 seed, and if they defeat #9 West Bend East, their reward will be to play top-seeded Nicolet for a regional championship.

Division 2, Sectional 3 is loaded with area teams. Badger South champ Stoughton leads the top-half of the sectional, which includes #2 Monroe, #3 Deforest, and #4 Reedsburg. On the bottom half, Elkhorn claims the top spot, with #5 Milton being the highest-seeded area squad.

Turner, Edgerton, and Lodi are the top three area seeds in the top half of Division 3, Sectional 3. On the bottom half, Waupun and Columbus take the top spots. In Sectional 4, East Troy earned a #2 seed in the bottom half-sectional. Wisconsin Dells is the #1 seed in Sectional 1, bottom half, which includes several teams from west-central Wisconsin.

Division 4, Sectional 3 is loaded with top area teams in southwestern Wisconsin, highlighted by Cuba City as a #1 seed in a tough half-sectional. Monticello and Wauzeka-Steuben are among southwestern Wisconsin teams to earn a #1 seed in Division 5.

The boy's WIAA Tournament begins on March 3, with the championships March 19-21 at the Kohl Center in Madison.
