Bucks Suffer 138-109 Blowout Loss to Hornets

This game was ugly from the jump for the Milwaukee Bucks. The Charlotte Hornets tied an NBA record with 51 points in the first quarter, en route to a 138-109 win over Milwaukee. That tied the mark set by the Golden St. Warriors in 2019, for most points in a first quarter in NBA history.

The Hornets scored 84 first half points and led 84-60 at halftime.

The Hornets outscored the Bucks in the second half to win by 29 points. Terry Rozier led the Hornets with 39 points.

Charlotte’s starters scored 114 points against Milwaukee which was the most points scored by their starters in a game in franchise history.

Bobby Portis led the Bucks with 19 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo had just nine points in 22 minutes.

The Bucks have suffered four losses by 20 points or more in the last 22 days. Their record stands at 25-14.

Milwaukee has the weekend off before playing in Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks on Monday night at 6:30pm.
