Ugly First Quarter Dooms Bucks in 114-106 Loss to Cavaliers

The Milwaukee Bucks were outscored 35-20 in the first quarter of Wednesday night's battle with the Cleveland Cavaliers and never recovered. They made a late push in the fourth quarter, but the Bucks fell 114-106.

Milwaukee outscored Cleveland 29-21 in the fourth quarter and cut the deficit to five points with 2:21 left, but it wasn't enough.

One positive throughout the game for Milwaukee was the dominance of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo had a season-high 45 points in the loss.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs with 36 points. Darius Garland had 23 points. Cleveland is now 16-2 at home this season.

The Bucks fell to 22-9 in the 2022-2023 campaign. The Cavs improved to 22-11.

Milwaukee will continue their road trip in Brooklyn on Friday night. Tip-off against the Nets is set for 6:30pm.
