Bucks complete D.C. sweep

The Milwaukee Bucks hot play continued Monday night in Washington, defeating the Wizards for the second time in three nights, 133-122.

Virtually left off of everyone’s MVP watch list, Giannis Antetokounmpo looks like a man on a mission to become the first player since Larry Bird to win the league’s top honor in three consecutive seasons by posting his third straight triple double (31 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists).

But as the Bucks have put together their hottest streak of the season, once again the story is less about their star player and more about balanced scoring. In all, seven Milwaukee players scored in double digits, including all five starters.

The Bucks (25-14) figure to be tested Wednesday night when they travel to first place Philadelphia (27-12). Although the 76ers will be playing without their MVP candidate, Joel Embiid, who will be sidelined for several weeks with a knee sprain.
