While other teams made splashy headlines with trades on Thursday, the Bucks quietly went about their business, barely mentioned in the trade rumors flying around Thursday.
With the NBA's best record at 44-7, a magic number of four just one week into February, and statistically in the top handful of spots in most key metrics, the Milwaukee Bucks were fine standing pat at Thursday's NBA Trade Deadline.
Giannis Antetokounmpo told reporters after the Bucks defeated Philadelphia 112-101 that he was glad the Bucks didn't make any moves, citing the team's record this year. Giannis said the Bucks are the best team in the NBA.
Giannis also alluded to some Eastern Conference rivals loading up for their playoff run at the Bucks this coming spring, most notably Miami scooping up Andre Iguodala and Jae Crowder to provide some length to help defend against the Bucks. Philadelphia also turned over part of its rotation, and other smaller moves dotted the landscape.
