It's prediction and projection season in the NBA as training camps get underway next week. First up: who's the NBA's best player? NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, or is it still LeBron James?
Kawhi Leonard almost single-handedly took over Toronto's playoff fate in multiple rounds, hitting incredible clutch shots, going toe-to-toe with Giannis, and finishing with an NBA title over the Golden State Warriors. Giannis Antetokounmpo earned NBA MVP honors after blitzing through the league during the regular season with a dizzying array of dunks and blocked shots. LeBron James holds the title by default most years as the league's best, as up until this past season, he had carried teams to the Finals with sometimes less-than-ideal supporting casts.
This all goes without mentioning James Harden, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and a host of deserving others for consideration.
