Giannis Antetokounmpo is bucking the trend of NBA stars working out together in the offseason, preferring to hone his skills on his own, calling the idea weird. Giannis adds that it's cool if other guys do it.
In an interview with The Athletic's Eric Nehm, Giannis explains that he doesn't feel comfortable practicing or working out with the players that he'll be competing against all season.
While the declaration goes against the grain of the modern-day NBA culture, to some, it's viewed as a breath of fresh air. Former NBA star Tracy McGrady agrees with Giannis, and says he's '100% right' to not want to work out with his competition.
