Report: Ersan Ilyasova to return to Bucks on a three-year deal

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that former Milwaukee Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova has agreed to a three-year, $21 million deal at the outset of the free agency window.

Ilyasova played seven seasons in nine years with the Bucks, his last appearance with the team coming in the 2015 NBA Playoffs, where he averaged 8.7 points per game. In 453 career games with the Bucks, Ilyasova averaged 10.7 points per contest, a shade under his 11.0 career average. The two missing seasons came early in his career were spent playing in Spain.

Since leaving Milwaukee, Ilyasova has bounced around the league a bit, playing for Detroit, Orlando, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. In Atlanta, he played under former Hawks and current Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer.

While the signing raised plenty of eyebrows among fans and around the league, Ilyasova is a unique fit given his long history in Milwaukee and his experience playing for Budenholzer. The signing does add some intrigue to the Jabari Parker situation, but Milwaukee still has plenty of room to make a contract fit for Parker should another team offer him a contract for the Bucks to match.
