Joe Prunty, the Milwaukee Bucks' interim head coach for part of last season after Jason Kidd was fired, has been hired as the lead assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns.
That's according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Prunty took over for a struggling Bucks team after Jason Kidd was fired mid-season, and kept the Bucks in playoff contention. Milwaukee dropped an opening-round series to the Boston Celtics in seven games, ending a mostly disappointing year for the Bucks.
Milwaukee hired Mike Budenholzer, formerly of the Atlanta Hawks, to be their new head coach this offseason. Budenholzer has hired only one coach to his staff so far, Charles Lee, a former assistant of his in Atlanta.
