Giannis Antetokounmpo scored early and often, leading six Bucks players in double figures with 28 points and nifty fast-break plays during a 97-83 victory over Toronto in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
Rookies Malcolm Brogdon (16 points, 6 rebounds) and Thon Maker (4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 blocks) played big roles for Milwaukee in the win. Greg Monroe (14 points, 15 rebounds) played well in his NBA postseason debut, and veterans Tony Snell, Khris Middleton, and Matthew Dellavedova also reached double figures in scoring for the Bucks, who went on a tear near the end of the third quarter once Giannis Antetokounmpo picked up his fourth foul.
Milwaukee will take on Toronto in Game 2 on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
