The Milwaukee Brewers improved to 6-0-1 in their last seven series with another series win on Thursday afternoon. The Brewers beat the Philadelphia Phillies in the series finale 4-0. It was the fourth shutout in their last seven games for Milwaukee.
In the third inning, Christian Yelich hit a three-run home run to give the Brewers a 3-0 lead. It was the 14th of the season for Yelich, who finished the game a triple shy of the cycle.
In the seventh inning, William Contreras added an insurance run with an RBI-single to give Milwaukee a 4-0 lead.
On the mound, Corbin Burnes was dominant for the Brewers. Burnes went eight innings, struck out ten batters, and didn't allow a run.
Abner Uribe pitched a scoreless ninth inning and the Brewers won 4-0 to take the series.
