The Milwaukee Brewers almost made it two days in a row with exceptional comebacks, but unfortunately they fell short and lost to the Chicago Cubs 7-6 in eleven innings on the Fourth of July.
The Brewers were down 4-0 and 6-2 in Tuesday's game, but scored two runs in the eighth and ninth innings to tie the game at six.
Neither team scored in the tenth inning, as Andruw Monasterio was thrown out at the plate trying to score the winning run for Milwaukee.
The Cubs scratched a run across on a single in the top of the eleventh against Brewers reliever Clayton Andrews.
In the bottom of the eleventh inning, Owen Miller was thrown out at the plate trying to score the tying run. Milwaukee lost 7-6.
The loss snaps the Brewers three-game winning streak. Their record is 46-40.
The third game of the series will be on Wednesday night at 7:10pm at American Family Field.
