Julio Teheran had been incredibly solid for the Milwaukee Brewers on the mound through his first six starts as a member of the team. Unfortunately, that success came to a halt on Tuesday night in the Brewers 7-2 loss to the Mets.
Teheran was perfect through three innings. In the fourth inning, he allowed two solo home runs and the Mets took a 2-0 lead. In the fifth inning, the Mets added two more on a two-run home run by Francisco Lindor and three more runs were scored in the sixth inning. The Mets led 7-0 and forced Teheran out of the game.
Milwaukee got on the board on a two-run single by Brian Anderson in the eighth inning to cut the deficit to 7-2. But that would be the final score as the Mets took the second game of the series.
The Brewers are 41-38. The third game of the series against the Mets will be played on Wednesday night at 6:10pm. After the game, listen to the Baseball Postgame Show with Tim Allen on 97.3 The Game.
