Jesse Winker finally gets one on the board. Winker took a fastball from Ryne Nelson and drove it out to deep center for a two-run shot in the 4th inning.

All the credit in the world goes to Brewers hitting coach Ozzie Timmons. Timmons and Winker worked together all afternoon working on his fastball timing.

The Brewers scored four runs in the 7th and ended up beating the D-Backs in a come from behind win 7-5.

Winker, who was an All-Star in 2021, has hit 81 career home runs. This season, he is well below his career averages, hitting .200 and slugging just .250. Last year, Winker played in a career-high 136 games for the Seattle Mariners, hitting 14 home runs in 547 plate appearances.
